Kim Berry is a Connecticut-based singer/songwriter and a native New Yorker.
In April 2008, “So Far to Go” earned Kim a Finalist spot from Song of the Year in the Pop/Adult Contemporary category. Earlier, in November 2007, “Before I Hit the Ground” earned a Runner-Up nod from Song of the Year, and a March 2006 Honor Award from The Great American Song. Critics and music-lovers agree that Kim’s beautiful vocals and memorable melodies combine to create the “smooth that soothes”.
Kim’s self-titled debut EP is produced by acclaimed indie artist and veteran producer, Saul Zonana. Recorded at Avatar Studios in New York City, Kim’s songs are brought to life by some of the industry’s most accomplished musicians: Kevin Bents on piano (Jewel, Phoebe Snow); Jack Petruzzelli on guitars (The Fab Faux, Rufus Wainwright); Conrad Korsch on upright bass (Rod Stewart, Carly Simon); Doug Yowell on drums and percussion (Suzanne Vega, Duncan Sheik) and Julia Kent on cello (Rasputina).
